$45 bucks later, Robert was so sure that it would fit in our car..which it did........if I held it up over our heads. Oh boy.
Since hurricanes can leave the SXM without power from 5 days up to several months, a screen door might be nice to have when it gets hot and sticky in the apartment. and if this doesn't help with hurricane drudgery,
at least during the winter months we will be able to take advantage of the nice tradewinds that blow in and around our complex.
So once the screen door was attached, and life was slightly more breezy, we were surprised by a Mystery Kitten pearing at us through the sliding glass doors...
What the heck? How did it get there?
Robert fed it some egg burrito while I contacted our upstairs neighbors over facebook.
Sure enough, this little kitty had accidentally fallen down from the balcony above, so Shellena came to claim it.
We are so hard up for the company of a kid or pet, that Robert and I almost wanted to keep it...which is saying something since I don't like cats.
Thanks goodness my insanely bad fur allergies saved us from this emotionally weak moment.
Chewey, a begger cat that looks for fights just as much as she looks for hand outs (hence her constantly receding ear length) thought our screen was an invitation for more begging...go away, Chewey!
Tonight was also a memorable occasion because it was my first time attending an internet recital! I had been working with Quinn for a couple months, and tonight it was time to show her stuff.
She sang
1.Safe And Sound
2.King of Anything
3.Love Song
4.When Will My Life Begin
and then she did a surprise en core of
5. Titanium.
After Titanium, she said it was a tribute to her and me: to her determination to keep singing even though she has had major health set backs this year, and to me for being there to help her pursue her dream. Even though Titanium is a techno/dance party song, I was really touched by it.
