back to work

Today was exciting because I started teaching two new students. One is Ashley, a hearing impaired girl from a few wards ago, who wants to improve here singing. The other is Yeva, a 4 yr old girl who's father is in school with Robert. Since I don't have any material for a child pianist, I spent several hours making worksheets and silly beginner-type songs.......like this..............

The things you do when the nearest music store is over 1200 miles away. I really liked working with Ashley over skype, and it was very entertaining to teach Yeva.
She brought we a dead weed-thingey as a gift. :)

We did 15 minutes of piano, and 15 minutes of voice. I was reminded of how much I actually enjoy working with little kids. Let's just hope next week will go well, once the newness of her music teacher wears off. :)
