FINALLY!

A long time ago, when I was a teen, I worked my rear off to get the "Young Womenhood Recognition Award".   This is an award that teen girls in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints can receive if they choose to earn it. The program is called the Personal Progress program. To learn more about this program, copy this link into your web browser: https://www.lds.org/young-women/personal-progress?lang=eng

The Personal Progress program has changed a few times since the 1990s, and the rules have changed as well.  In the new program, leaders, as well as Young Women, can earn the updated medallion if they would like to. I have had 2 Young Women leadership callings, and both times, I started on the program, but never finished....ugh.  Well, sometimes around October, I got inspired to try again. Although I wasn't a YW leader down here, I help with all Mutual activities, and it turns out that ANY woman can participate in the program if they'd like, not just the leaders.....sweet.
Starting over for the THIRD time, I finally finished it JUNE 5th!!! YES!!! The hardest part was choosing between the silver version or the gold colors....argh! Choices, choices!
And today in church, President Wright presented me with my medallion. Holy cow. I can't believe I finally did it!!!!!
(As you can see I went with the Silver)

After church, Daniel came over  and brought a pot of vegetarian curry.  It was pretty good! Thanks Daniel!!
